Monday Mentor Club

Every Monday after school in the Literacy Room, the International Captains on a rotating basis, choose a subject to prepare to teach at mentor club. It is usually run by year 11-12s teaching years 10-11 students. 

Subjects we have covered include English/EAL, Maths Methods and various Sciences including Chemistry and Biology.

Students identify topics that International Students in particular struggle with work through exercises with them. Some topics we have covered are: How to give an oral presentation, persuasive techniques, efficient reading strategies, trigonometry, probability, how to write a lab report, dependent/independent variables etc. 

Thanks to teachers who have contributed worksheets towards the program.
