Inclusive Education
Inclusive education stands on the firm belief that 'there is only one world, and we are in it together.' This guiding principle resonates profoundly within the heart of the Mary Rice Centre, especially in the events of the past week.
The MRC is a multi-purpose space which functions as an education support classroom, therapy space, calming area, and as a hub for many students. It's where we foster community through activities like Lego Club, Thursday Fun Day, and our drop-in study sessions. It's also the birthplace of Enpower Enterprises.
In preparation for Mother’s Day, students from Enpower Enterprises channelled their creativity into designing and crafting totes adorned with unique messages, while our Year 7 LEAP students transformed recycled materials into beautiful terrariums. These offerings flew off the shelves at Tuesday’s Edmund Rice Day stall, with students declaring it as 'the BEST stall.' Through supporting Enpower Enterprises, your sons demonstrated how we are all interconnected in this world.
Inclusive education ensures that every member of our community has their social, emotional, and academic needs met. At Trinity College, we take immense pride in our role in this endeavour and are excited by the current initiatives taking place within the MRC, as well as those yet to unfold.
