Student Leadership Page

Georgia Colliver-Piper

The student leaders interviewed Georgia this week and this is what they discovered:

What is your role at Bittern Primary School?

My role at Bittern Primary School is the Chaplain, which means that I am part of the E.S (Education Support Staff). This means that if students have any concerns or anything that is worrying them then I can help them.

What do you like about Bittern Primary School?

I love that we are a small and close tight knit community and that we are a caring school. I really like that everyone gets along.

How does the Hands on Learning program work?

Hands on Learning is a program that concentrates on well-being. It is a safe environment where students can feel a sense of belonging. Students work to achieve personal learning goals and focus goals. In this program they eat lunch together and work on their school pride through their construction and maintenance of school gardens.

What was your favourite subject at school?

My favourite subjects in school were Art and English because they both helped me express myself through writing, painting and drawing.

What made you pick this career?

When I was in school, I had a Chaplain who changed my life by helping me, which inspired me to help everyone that way that she helped me.

Do you have any hobbies outside of school?

I enjoy gardening, cooking, art, going to the beach and swimming.

We would like to thank Georgia for taking the time to answer our questions, giving us an insight into just how lucky Bittern Primary School is to have so many caring helpers available to the students.
