ANNUAL PRIVACY REMINDER FOR OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY 

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ privacy policy and the Schools’ privacy collection notice.

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students policy, as per the pdf attachment on this page, describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn. 

We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use [Microsoft 365/Google Workspace for Education] safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. Dear Families, Students and Staff,

I am delighted to share that Meadows Primary School has been featured in the Herald Sun as part of a special article highlighting new principals in Victorian schools for 2026.

It is a great opportunity to be recognised as the new Principal of Meadows Primary School and, more importantly, to showcase our wonderful school. 

This recognition reflects the strong foundations of our school and the exciting direction ahead as we continue to build on our shared vision for excellence, wellbeing and opportunity for every student.

I feel incredibly proud to be leading such a vibrant and supportive school and I am excited about the work we will continue to do together to ensure every child thrives.

MPS CURRICULUM DAY

I am pleased to share some highlights from our recent curriculum day and the work done to strengthen teaching and learning practice. Curriculum Day on 10 February was dedicated to professional development, with teaching and education support staff trained in evidenced based Positive Classroom Management Strategies (PCMS) to enhance instruction. 

The day showcased strong staff engaagement, collaboration, focusing on practical, evidence based strategies. For our students, this means more consistent use of effective strategies, clearer routines, timely feedback, and greater opportunities for voice. 

Our next steps include ongoing professional learning, and a shared toolkit of strategies, rules and routines with regular progress checks and collegial feedback. 

Having the curriculum day offsite and at the Islamic Museum of Australia provided a culturally rich setting, featuring a guided tour that deepened curricular perspectives and culturally responsive teaching. 

I am very proud of the Meadows PS Staff for their continued committemnt to their own professional growth.
