Dear Parents and Friends of DPS
Welcome back to the new school year! It has been wonderful to see students return so positively and settle quickly into their classes. All year levels are off to a calm and confident start, with classrooms buzzing with learning and new friendships.
A special welcome to our new Prep students and families, as well as those joining our school community for the first time. We are delighted to have you with us and look forward to a year of learning, growth and partnership.
Our new School Captains are excited for their first Virtual Assembly which will be held Monday afternoons at 2:30pm. You will receive a Compass Newsfeed with the link. We look forward to seeing lots of parents online at this time.
You will shortly receive information (via Compass) regarding an Open Classroom afternoon which is always a great chance to meet your child's class teacher.
Our first Face-Face Assembly will be held at 11:30am on Thursday 19 February where we will have a special performance in celebrating Chinese New Year. All parents are welcome to join us on site for our face-face assemblies.

Annual Privacy Reminder
Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ privacy policy and the Schools’ privacy collection notice.
Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students policy (available on the school website), describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.
We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Google Workspace for Education safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Google Workspace for Education, please contact the school.
