Emerge Youth Art Awards

We wish to congratulate the following Year 11 students who have artwork currently on show, in the Emerge Youth Art Awards at the Tresilian Arts Centre in the City of Nedlands.

Three of these students received a Judges Special Mention Prize: Elsa Hu, Katie King  and Maisie Kidd. The judges awarding these prizes to artists “who are recognised for having great talent and potential”.

Leonie Browner, the Mayor of Nedlands in her Opening address, also acknowledged all of  the 164  student entrants, recognising  their “Courage to share, Persistence, Bravery and Freedom to express themselves”.

Our students’ work along with all entries can be viewed at the Tresilian Arts Centre from 25th July – 21st August. Opening hours are Mon – Fri 9am – 4pm and Sunday’s 1pm – 4pm.

Perth Reds Volleyball Association

Reds are excited to announce our revamped Reds Junior Volleyball Program at Applecross SHS in Term 3. The Reds Junior Volleyball program at Applecross Senior High School has a game play focus with some skill development for school students from Years 7-12 in a fun, non-contact learning environment and featuring coaching from International & National athletes.

Dates: Wednesday afternoons, 29th July to 23rd September.

Time: 3:15 to 4:30pm

Cost: $180 for 9 weeks of sessions.
