Term 4 - Week 9
Welcome to Week 9,
Tonight we celebrate!
The 2024 St Nicholas academic year will be looked back upon favourably as one of success. Tonight we have the opportunity to celebrate the many achievements of 2024.
For the last few weeks our students have been busy practising and perfecting their performances. While their hearts will be beating fast and their palms a little sweaty tonight, the opportunity to perform on stage in front of 2000 people is wonderful for their development. It is wonderful for all our students to practise and showcase their creative side.
On behalf of our school community I once again invite you to our night of celebration at the TREC.
Access and Egress Safety upgrade
600 students and their families' access to and egress from St Nicholas, located in a high residential area, has presented safety challenges and considerable work to mitigate risk.
I am delighted to announce, thanks to the support of Tamworth Regional Council St Nicholas will receive an upgrade in our School Zone Infrastructure. The upgrade will include:
- Installation of a new (75mm high) wombat crossing that is suitable for buses to navigate
- Replacement of an existing footpath (1.2m wide) with a new concrete shared path (2.5m wide) across the front of the school.
- Installation of pedestrian fencing to separate pedestrians from the traffic on Carthage Street.
- Installation of four new compliant 'basic boarding points' for safe access / egress to school buses.
Have a great week.
