Year 1/2 Cluster News 

Dear Parents and Caregivers,  

It has been an absolute pleasure to have taught your child this year. Thank you for supporting us on our journey together. This final newsletter just contains the final reminders for the year, as we head towards this chaotic, fun and reflective last three days of 2024.   

We wish you all a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you in 2025.

Announcements:   

Library – We have finished borrowing for the year from Sunnybrook LRC. All books will need to be returned prior to the end of the school year.   

End of Year Pack Up – Please empty your child’s bag each day of stationery being sent home. 

Stationery for 2025 – Any unused stationery has been set aside for your child’s next teacher and removed from the stationery list to ensure the cost is as low as possible for you. Year 2 students for 2025 receive a school issued pencil case and this is passed up to the next grade, along with a ruler and scissors and headphones. Your child’s teacher will contact you if the headphones don’t work so you can purchase a set in the holidays. 

Week 9 Key Dates / Events:   

Monday 9th Dec – Move up Morning – students will spend the morning until recess meeting their new class teachers and peers for 2025.   

Tuesday 10th Dec – P&F Fun Day – a sausage sizzle provided and some fun activities at school during the day.   

Wednesday 11th Dec – Last Day 2024 - Closing Worship @ 9:15am before farewells and goodbyes at the usual time of 3:07pm.
