End of year concert

Let’s come together to enjoy the spirit of the season! Our students have been busily practicing their concert songs, and we would love to see as many parents and carers as possible at our Christmas Concert.

 

When: Thursday, 19 December – shortly after 9am and finishing at approximately 10:40am

Where: Outside or in the gym (weather dependent)

  • Dry weather: The concert will be held outdoors on the basketball court, running track, and four-square area. Feel free to bring low seating options, keeping in mind that everyone wants a clear view! A stage will be built for the outdoor event.
  • Wet weather: If it’s wet overnight or in the morning, the concert will move to the gymnasium. Note that no stage will be constructed for the indoor performance.

Volunteers needed

If we’re lucky with the weather, we need 10 adult volunteers to help build the outdoor stage. If you’re interested, please add your name to the volunteer list. 

Stage building volunteer details:

  • When: 7am on Thursday, 19 December (if the weather is dry)
  • Meeting point: Next to the bike enclosure near the oval.
  • What to bring: Gloves (if you have them), or borrow a pair from us. Students are also welcome to lend a hand—we’ll make it a fun and productive morning!

Coffee

Miss Molly’s Coffee Cart will be at school from 8am to keep you energized for the festivities. The cart will be located near the oval and basketball courts.

What to wear

Costumes

Classroom teachers will let students know what they are required to wear for the Concert. Students can wear their costume to school on Concert Day, however please make sure:

  • shoulders and midriffs are covered.
  • students have appropriate clothes for Jump Rope for Heart later in the day.

SunSmart 

If we’re performing outside, please bring a hat and apply sunscreen before leaving home in the morning. A water bottle is a good idea too.

As a courtesy to performers, please do not move around or talk during concert items.
