Green Team News

The Green Team have been busy completing waste audits and counting cans for the Recycling for Good Stuff initiative. 

This term we have raised a total of $212.50 which was agreed to go towards 'Pets in the Park' which Ayla researched for her sustainability project earlier this year. 

This organisation provides free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness across Australia to ensure these cherished animals stay healthy and loved, while easing the burden on their owners. A big thanks to Dugald for helping us cash in the cans for this cause.

We are excited for next year’s projects; building pollinator hotels and bird boxes for our local wildlife in Term 1 and 2.

Term 3, 2025 will see another School’s Sustainability Festival where SKiPPS can showcase their environmental sustainability achievements. We are also excited to be involved in a major National Tree Planting Day project in collaboration with the Port Phillip EcoCentre.
