A message from the Principal

As we approach the end of  the school year, I would like to acknowledge the wonderful SKiPPS community including the students, teachers and parents/carers for their contribution throughout this year. While the festive season is all about celebration, it is important to take time to reflect on the year and the many achievements of our wonderful students and school. The overwhelming generosity of our parent community in running and supporting the many school events is a key factor to what makes SKiPPS such an inclusive and welcoming organisation. To our students and in particular our Year 6's, I wish you all the best for your future years of education ahead - I know you will continue to uphold our values of kindness, resilience, creativity and curiosity- never stop asking questions if you are unsure  and aim to learn something new every day. To the wonderful staff- thankyou for always putting your students first and supporting and encouraging them every day. Your classrooms are always inviting and support students to grow their minds.

An integral key to SKiPPS is of course our incredibly diligent principal Neil who Jac and  I have the privilege of working alongside each day. I have witnessed  on so many occasions Neil going the extra mile and so often working incredibly long hours to ensure the school continually improves in the facilities, communications and the learning journey of every student. Neil is currently enjoying a very well deserved holiday in the UK and is rugged up in his winter woolies- hoping that he will enjoy a white Christmas with snow forecast for the day. On behalf of all the school community - I say thankyou Neil for your strong leadership, empathy, vision and commitment to SKiPPS.

I wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy summer holiday. I  look forward to seeing you on Thursday January 30th 2025 for the first day of Term 1.
