School Uniform
Just a reminder that students should wear their summer uniform Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Sport uniform is to be worn Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure all students come to school with their school hat, a water bottle, morning tea and lunch. Please ensure that all belongings are clearly labelled with your child's name.
Afternoon Pick Up - Crown Street
If you pick your child up from school in the afternoons via the back gate, please do so in a timely manner to allow for efficient use of the parking areas in Crown Street during this busy time. Students who are being collected from school in the afternoon are to wait inside the school gate for their parent/carer. Students are not permitted to walk to parked cars for safety reasons. Parents/carers may wait in the church grounds and, when sighted by the teacher on duty, students may walk to their parent/carer. A reminder that school finishes at 2:50pm with Esteem Kids after school care available for those children unable to be collected at 2:50pm. 2025 School Fees
School fees will be issued in the next few days. Payments can be made via BPay - details are available on your statement, Eftpos is also available at the school.
Any family/carer requiring assistance with school fees is encouraged to make an appointment and come and meet with us as soon as possible.

P & F Meeting
The P & F plays an important role in building community by organising social events and supporting the school through fundraising activities. We encourage everyone to become involved in the P & F Association. Our next meeting is the AGM and will be held on Tuesday 11th February 2025 in the staffroom.
Enrolling Now for Kinder 2026
Our enrolment period for Kindergarten 2026 is now open! Please visit https://stjosephstamworth.catholic.edu.au/enrolment/ for enrolment details or contact the office on 6765 4079 for further information. Enrolment applications must be accompanied by the relevant supporting documents as listed on the cover page of the application form. Applications close on the last day of Term 1, 11th April 2025. If you know anyone who has a child wishing to start Kindergarten at St Joseph's next year, please share this information with them.
School Student Broadband Initiative
The School Student Broadband Initiative has been extended by the Federal Government until June 2028.
To be eligible, families must:
Have a child living at home that is enrolled in an Australian school (up to year 12 including Prep in Qld/Vic/Tas, Kindy in NSW, Reception in SA, Transition in NT/ACT and Pre-Primary in WA).
Not have an active National Broadband Network (nbn®) Internet service at home. Having a mobile internet service does not affect eligibility.
Live in a premises that can access the National Broadband Network via a standard connection - this will be checked for families.
Not have had an active nbn connection during the previous 14 days.

Compass
All new families should have received their log in details. A reminder after downloading the Compass App, please search for our school by typing 'Tamworth', then choose St Joseph's School. Please contact the office if you have any issues.
Change in Routine
Can you please advise the school office before 2:30pm if there is any change in your child's afternoon routine.
Meeting With Teachers
Mornings and afternoons are very busy times for teachers as they are preparing for the day ahead and planning with their co-teachers, which unfortunately means that they are often unable to make time for a meeting without notice. For that reason, if you need to discuss anything with your child's teacher, please contact the school office to schedule an appointment. This will ensure you have the full attention of the teachers and the time necessary. Alternatively, an email can be sent to sjtadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au and will be forwarded onto the class teacher.
Supervision of Students
A reminder that school commences at 8:45am and concludes at 2:50pm
Please note that supervision of students commences at 8:15am and families are kindly asked not to drop off children before this time.
