Principal's Message
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to the end of Week 6. The first half of the term has been very busy, with teachers actively engaged in delivering their programs and supporting students in their learning and wellbeing. At the same time, they are carefully assessing each student’s progress in preparation for the Semester 1 reports, which will be shared with parents in Week 10.
Teachers regularly collect and analyse a range of learning data, and we continue to
be very pleased with the exceptional progress our students are making across all
learning areas. We are also impressed with their dedication and achievements on
the stage in the SCS Eisteddfods and on the sporting field (when not washed out!)
Athletics Carnival
A big shout out to Mrs Lennon who coordinated three different plans for trying and unpredictable weather conditions. A special mention to Mr Sharp (and Mrs Miller) for planning and coordinating for a full carnival but then adapting to make the abridged version work. I’d also like to acknowledge our amazing staff for their flexibility and support of each other. We had staff help at the carnival but then we also had staff stay back and support the students back at school. As communicated, we will organise a fun day in Term 4 in lieu of the carnival we missed out on.
Tell Them From Me Survey
We would like to invite you all to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community, we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Our Lady Star of the Sea.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL below:

Being new to our community, I really do look forward to your feedback.
We are absolutely thrilled to announce the safe arrival of a beautiful baby girl for Mr. Greer and his family! We send them all our love and warmest wishes during this special time, and joyfully welcome the newest little member to our OLSS community.

Staff Development Day
Just a reminder that Monday 1st June is a Staff Development Day. The staff will be looking at the Maths block, reviewing various sources of data and collaboratively planning in the area of Mathematics.
God Bless,
Mr Marcel Arendse
