Holiday Prayer

Thank You, loving God,

for times of refreshment and opportunities to have a holiday,

so that we may be renewed in body, soul and spirit.

We thank you for the gift of enjoying different and new experiences.

May our time away be one that is filled with fun and the joy of friendship.

May our hearts be filled with happiness and peace and may we laugh often.

We praise you for this special gift,

Amen.

F.I.R.E. Carrier Commissioning Ceremony

Last week, we held the F.I.R.E. Carrier Commissioning Ceremony, where we proudly inducted our new F.I.R.E. Carriers into the program. These dedicated students and staff have collaborated to refine our current F.I.R.E. Carrier covenant, expressing their goals and aspirations for leading this important initiative in 2025.

We were honoured to have representatives from CESL Michael Chisholm and Louise Levy guide the ceremony and officially induct our students and staff.

Sacraments of First Reconciliation

On Friday, 13th September, we celebrated the Sacrament of First Reconciliation with 27 candidates. In preparation for this special occasion, the candidates completed a home-based program focused on Reconciliation.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a profound ritual of healing and forgiveness, offering us the chance to acknowledge our missteps and seek God’s forgiveness. At its heart, this sacrament celebrates God’s unconditional love and joy for us, even in times when we make poor choices. For the Catholic community, it serves as an important opportunity to restore relationships and return to the original blessing created by God.

The ceremony was beautifully led by Father Junjun and Father Adi, with the candidates and their families in attendance. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families for their dedication and preparation in supporting the students throughout this journey.

Our Call to Mission

Over the past nine weeks, our Catholic Identity Leaders have been actively promoting the collection of non-perishable food items to support our local Cobram Food Share. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we successfully collected 500 items.

As part of this initiative, we held a friendly competition between the Houses to see who could collect the most. Congratulations to McAuley (Red) House, which led the way with an impressive 183 food items. As a reward, McAuley students will receive 1,000 points and an extra 15 minutes of playtime.

We sincerely thank all students and families for their tremendous contributions, enabling us to provide much-needed support to those in our local community.
