Penguin Project – Australian Antarctic Festival 2024
CNPS participated in the Penguin Project – Australian Antarctic Festival 2024 in August. The festival is run by the not-for-profit Mawson's Huts Foundation www.mawsons-huts.org.au, which works to help conserve Australia’s Antarctic Heritage. The Australian Antarctic Festival celebrates the role of Hobart as one of the world’s pre-eminent gateways to the Antarctic. It acknowledges the contribution made by the Antarctic community to both the economy and the social fabric of Tasmania. https://www.mawsons-huts.org.au/antarctic-festival/
Each participating school was given 50 penguin cut-outs from MDF (medium density fibreboard). The penguins are 30cms high and students are asked to paint/decorate these in any way they imagine. The festival had over 20,000 visitors to the event of which our penguins were an iconic feature.
Thank you to Olivia and our students for creating these colourful penguins to be displayed at the festival.
2024 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey - Reminder
To date, 60 out of 197 CNPS Families have completed the survey!
This is a reminder for our families to please take the time to complete the 2024 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey. The data collected from this survey is invaluable in informing our school improvement and comparing our school to similar schools and schools within the Yarra/Darebin Network.
The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is open online from Monday 29 July to Friday 20 September 2024 (extended).
All families are invited to participate in the survey. The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.
