YEAR 12
Year 12 Key Information
- Welcome back to the final Term for our Year 12 students! The Celebration Dinner was truly a remarkable event our St Mary's community enjoyed. Our next significant occasion is the Graduation Mass, scheduled for Week 7, November 13. This ceremony will mark the official final day for our Year 12 students. We look forward to your presence at this significant event.
- As we approach the conclusion of the academic year, students have three weeks remaining to prepare for their final exams, complete their certification requirements, and secure their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). During this critical period, we expect full attendance, strict adherence to punctuality, and compliance with the uniform policy. Information has been communicated through parent slips to keep families informed.
- Students have received information regarding Weeks 1- 3 of Term 4, this document can also be viewed HERE. All Year 12 students are expected to attend these weeks (including VET students). They will be in normal timetabled classes until Monday of Week 3 and can then attend alternative classes on their timetabled lines in negotiation with that classroom teacher.
- The External Assessment period runs from Monday, 21 October, until Tuesday, 12 November. All students have received a copy of the timetable and additional information regarding the exams over the holidays.
- During the upcoming sports sessions, students will participate in workshops focused on transitioning from school and preparing for the future, navigating schoolies, and strategies for thriving into their mid-twenties. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns.
