Active Schools Grant – New Equipment
We are thrilled to share that the Active Schools Program grant has been put to great use! With a focus on enhancing students' opportunities for unstructured physical activity during lunchtimes, we’ve invested in some exciting new equipment. The grant has allowed us to purchase:
- An outdoor table tennis table,
- An outdoor TEQBall table (a fusion of football and table tennis!) and
- Updated volleyball equipment
SEPEP Launch in Year 8
With the conclusion of the Interschool Sports season, we are excited to introduce the SEPEP (Sport Education in Physical Education Program) into Year 8 Sport. SEPEP is a student-centred sports program that gives students the opportunity to take on different roles such as team coach, umpire, and scorekeeper while playing sports in a structured competition. This program not only helps students develop their physical skills but also builds leadership, teamwork, and decision-making abilities. Year 8s will be diving into SEPEP throughout Term 4, and we can’t wait to see their progress.
