Humanities
Term 3 in junior school was all about History. As the students progress through the year levels, they also progress through various chronological ages. Year 7s hone their historical skills and study the ancient world. Year 8s look at the transition from ancient times to the medieval and renaissance periods, while Year 9s investigate the creation of the modern world.
Year 7 students have been completing their historical inquiries, where they research one ancient civilisation. Some very creative pieces this year, with popstick models, and mini statues being created.
The World Cultures elective at Year 9 has also seen an abundance of creativity. Here we’ve seen popstick models, shoe box dioramas, and some culturally appropriate meals.
Year 10 and 11 History students this year engaged in a Vietnam veteran visit organised by Ms Prosenak, which was a great experience.
Term 4 sees our Year 12 classes commencing their final exams, while the junior school studies Economics.
