R U OK Day
On Thursday 13th of September, Healesville High School celebrated ‘R U OK Day’ which is a day that underscores the importance of mental health. In an effort to embrace the spirit of the occasion, the students were educated around the meaning of R U OK day in Home Group and the school organised fairy bread and delicious biscuits to give out to students at lunchtime.
A special delivery of these goodies was also arranged for our VCE students, recognizing the unique pressures they face during this crucial time in their academic journey. ‘R U OK Day’ highlights the significance of checking in with one another and fostering a supportive environment. By sharing these simple pleasures, we hoped to have reinforced the message that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's day and well-being.
We would also like to thank Mandy and Claire from the Doctors in Secondary Schools program who gave up their time to take part in the day and support our community.
