Madison Prendergast commenced her journey at Healesville High School at the beginning of this year. She came to us from Healesville Primary School and was awarded the Tricia O’Reilly Scholarship at the end of 2023. From her first day at Healesville High School, Madison has been an absolute star. She has embraced every opportunity presented to her, including:
- Taking part in the instrumental music program; performing in the semester one concert and the NEVR Youth concert.
- Having an on stage role in the school production of Grease
- Singing in the choir at the State School Spectacular
- Volunteering as a student helper at our Open Night
- Joining the interschool Year 7 netball, basketball and soccer teams.
On top of all this, Madison has maintained exceptional academic standards achieving an Excellence Award at the semester one awards ceremony and receiving an impressive 27 Green Chronicles so far this year. Madison is often acknowledged by teachers for her kindness and positivity. Madison, you are a star! Keep up the great work.
Ethan Nikcevich has been one of our two brilliant 2024 School Captains. He has participated in interschool sport and played a key role in both the 2023 and 2024 productions of 'Frozen' and 'Grease'.
Ethan volunteered his time at many school events such as Open Night and also spoke beautifully at both the Remembrance Day Service and the Dawn Service run by the Healesville RSL.
Ethan has been nominated as a STAR because he has shown himself to be an excellent role model managing to accrue over 100 Green Chronicles during his time at HHS. He has dutifully balanced his studies with his leadership responsibilities. Great job, Ethan!
Celeste Duthie is the other of our two school captains. Celeste is a remarkable student who is dedicated and focused on achieving her best.
Celeste has been another brilliant role model as our School Captain and has showcased her energy during house activities, carnivals and dress up days (well done Peter Rabbit!).
Celeste has accrued an impressive 85 Green Chronicles while at HHS and has even undertaken a number of university subjects as part of her studies. She has actively participated in several camps and was part of the 'School of Rock' production.
Impressively, Celeste commenced her first VCE subject (Psychology) as a Year 9 student and had already completed both Year 12 Psychology and Legal Studies by the end of Year 11. Well done, Celeste!
Mia Erickson has been nominated by Mrs Jackson for maintaining a diligent and committed approach to her learning throughout the year. Mia makes the most of her study periods, consistently using this time productively to achieve her personal best.
Mia is a friendly and caring student who greets people with a smile. She has positive relationships with her teachers and peers. Mia has managed to receive 72 Green Chronicles across her time at HHS. She has regularly received awards at our presentations. Last year she received the Business Management Award and Interschool Sports Award.
Mia also participates regularly in interschool sports and has taken part in the Worowa Sport Reconciliation Carnival each year. Mia, you are a star! Keep working hard!
