Year 8 Update
An insight into Year 8 HPE
Year 8 students have worked through the net and wall unit during physical education displaying exceptions skills in badminton, table tennis and pickleball as well as engaging in mature conversations during the sexual health unit.
The Year 8 table tennis day was a success, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of all participants. Ella Kells' performance was a standout feature of the event, winning all her matches and advancing to the next level of school competition. Well done on a brilliant performance Ella!
The year 8 girls badminton day was also another highlight, seeing our girls involved in wins in both singles and doubles badminton matches. The girls finished 5th out of 9 teams who participated on the day. Well done to Ella Kells, Gabby Smith, Billie Montgomery and Erin Cottell on your efforts.
The Term 3 Sexual Health Education program successfully addressed critical aspects of sexual health, equipping students with valuable knowledge and tools to make informed decisions. The emphasis on consent, legal issues, STI prevention, and contraception aimed to promote healthy behaviours and attitudes, supporting students in developing a responsible and respectful approach to sexual health.
Well done Year 8 on working tirelessly this year.
