Open Boys Softball

The Open Boys Softball team competed in the NSWCHS Softball Championships. Having won their first 3 games, the team were left with a top-of-the-table clash against The Hills Sports High School for a chance to play against Westfields Sports High School in the final. The Sports High Schools proved too good for the Comprehensive Schools. On the final day of competition, EHS was placed against Orange High School and was vying for 3rd place. The boys should be proud of playing well across the 5 matches and achieving 4th overall. Congratulations on an excellent result.

Open Girls Softball

The Open Girls Softball team competed in the NSW CHS Softball Championships. The girls were determined and played strong to get into the play-offs for third. Unfortunately, due to weather, the game was abandoned. However, the EHS Opens Girls Softball team walked away with bronze medals. Congratulations to Bethanie Collins, Arianna King, Maddison Leahy, Casey Lloyd, Abbi Spencer, Nika Stomnaroski, Charli Tomlin, Isabella Trevena, Ashlee Trynchy, Bellah Watmore and Tenkia Williams. Although Kimberley Richardson could not play at the NSWCHS Softball Championships, she played the games leading up to competition and assisted the team in reaching this level.

Under 15’s Boys Basketball

Congratulations to the Under 15's Boys Basketball team! They played in the Macarthur Zone Under 15's Basketball Knockout Central Venue Day at Minto Indoor Sports Centre. They played four games and went through undefeated. They played against some tough teams and did very well to win some close games, particularly against Oran Park High School in the second round and Elizabeth Macarthur High School in the final.

A special shoutout to Peter A and Raphael A who co-captained the team. Well done to Jackson Shimmin, Ben Cartner, Jett Formosa, Zachariah Henkel, Lucas Linden, Kyan Walker and Jesse Webber. The team moves on to the SSW Central Venue Day.

Under 15’s Girls Netball

The Under 15's Netball team played in the Macarthur Zone Knockout Central Venue Day at Tahmoor Sports Centre and were the undefeated champions. The team moved on to the Sydney South West Knockout Central Venue Day at Minto Indoor Sports Centre. They finished the day undefeated and will move on to the next round, which is the NSWCHS Netball Championships to be held in October at Illawarra Sports Stadium. Well done to Mia Piliae, Alira Montoya Seru Wolstencroft, Charli Smith, Zaiah Williams, Annalise Smith, Charlotte McKenzie, Indie Smith, Ruby Domanski, Sophia Budd, Phoebe Lee, Alysah Bliss, and Hayley Laws. A special mention for Taylah Bliss who umpired both days!

Year 7 and 8 Gala Day

Year 7 and 8 had the opportunity to participate in the Macarthur Zone Gala Days for either soccer, netball or oztag this term. Our Year 8 Oztag team finished in 1st place. Our Year 7 Soccer Teams were undefeated. One of our two teams for Year 7 Netball finished in 3rd place. The girls had great fun and were commended by other schools for their positive attitude and behaviour as well!

GWS Giants Stephen Coniglio AFL Gala Day

A group of Year 10 boys were selected to participate in the GWS Giants Stephen Coniglio AFL Gala Day. They came against some really tough competition including Hills Sports High School and Westfields Sports High School. The boys played really well, and even managed to score a couple of goals too!

Well done to all of the Year 10 boys; Beau Bramstedt, Joshua Collins, Jack Dreyer, Riley Hammond, Lachlan Martin, Jake Mckenna, Brayden Nelson, Glenn O'Brien, Campbell Osborne, William Palmer, Mason Pan, George Prodromou, Joshua Ratu, Jack Reed-Hodge, Will Smith, Jak Sorensen and Kobe Stanborough.

A big thank you to Miah-Bella of Year 10 who was the assistant coach for the day!

Open Girls Hockey

The Open Girls Hockey Team participated in the NWSCHS Hockey Championship. The day started with a game against Mount Annan High School. It was a tough one, with lots of turnovers. Unfortunately, Mount Annan High School scored a point in extra time and won the game.

Next up the girls played East Hills Girls High School. Their team had no experienced players and our girls' sportsmanship and encouragement was outstanding. The girls had a good win.

Mia Piliae and Charli Smith

Big shout out to two of our students, Mia Piliae and Charli Smith who play for Camden and District Netball Association. They caught the attention of Netball NSW at the Netball Senior & Junior State Titles. They have been identified by selectors in the Talent Identification Program. Well done girls!

Raphael and Francisco Antonio

In January 2024, Raphael and Francisco were selected as part of Fil-Aus Nation Select group for a competition called Manila Live in March 2024. This is a 5 day basketball tournament in Manila which has teams from all over the world coming to compete. Francisco played in the Under 16's with athletes from Sydney and Queensland. Raphael was selected and asked to join the Under 14’s Fil-Euro team with players from the UK and Italy.

Francisco usually plays point guard, but played a defensive position and got a lot of assists, steals and was part of the starting 5 for the final game. Raphael played point guard and did really well with scoring points for his team. They were the first ever Fil-Euro team to win a game in the Manila Live competition. Raphael’s Under 14’s NSW team will progress to the Manila Live competition in 2025 and Francisco will be placed in either a National or Wildcard Under 19’s team for Manila. They’ve since been selected for another organisation called Homegrown, and will be travelling to Melbourne in October for a national tournament. Well done to Francisco and Raphael!
