Being Well at Magill

Hello Magill Families,

Welcome to Week 10's Wellbeing instalment as we deliver our final helpful resource from URSTRONG for this term in the series The Language of Friendship. This week, we're focusing on the Session 8: ‘’How to Calm the Butterflies’.

Session 8: ‘How to Calm the Butterflies’

Key Outcome

Your child will learn a few strategies to help calm their nerves and anxiety to feel more in control.

Objective

A key philosophy embedded in our program is the importance of using kids’ language for kids’ problems. Rather than talking about words like “anxiety” or “stress”, we use the word “butterflies” – a friendlier term that kids can connect with. This session helps students take control of butterflies they feel inside so they feel more in control of their emotions.

Have a safe and relaxing holiday. Stay warm and dry and see you all next term!
