A Wonderful Term of Learning and Fun!

We’ve had a fantastic Term 2 at OSHC, filled with meaningful experiences, engaging activities, and joyful learning!

This term, our focus has been on multiculturalism, where children have been learning from one another—sharing their languages, culture, and traditions. It’s been heartwarming to see children counting confidently in different languages, now extending from 10 all the way to 20, and also learning how to say“yes” and “no” in various languages. What a wonderful way to celebrate our diverse community!

Our menu has also been a hit, with children enjoying a wide variety of delicious foods. This inspired us to start creating our very own OSHC Recipe Book, featuring contributions from the children and educators. We'd loveyour family’s favourite recipe too! Ideally, something cultural or special to your family. The children areexcited to cook some of these dishes and serve them to each other—and even to parents! As Cecilia said toFarahana, “Can you put your recipe in too?” And yes—all educators will be contributing!

One of the biggest highlights this term has been our Lego building sessions. From creative structures to a fullybuilt Lego pool, the children have shown incredible imagination and teamwork. These moments of pride andcreativity have made our afternoons so special.

If you plan for your child to attend OSHC on this day, please make sure you book early. If your child won’t be attending and you already have a booking, please cancel to avoid charges and to assist us with our planning. Unfortunately, we will not be operating during the school holidays, so we wish all families a safe and restful break.
