Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers

over a multitude of sins."— 1 Peter 4:8

Gospel Reading

Mathew 16:13-19

You are Peter; and I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven.

St Peter was entrusted by Jesus with a special mission: to lead, to serve, and to build up the Church. When Jesus said, “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom,” He was calling Peter to take responsibility for nurturing and guiding the faith community.

As members of St Peter's Catholic School under the patronage of St Peter, we are also entrusted with a sacred mission—to open the “doors” of faith, learning, and love to all we meet in and around our school.

Congratulations to our students who have received their First Eucharist !

This is a very special and sacred moment in your faith journey, and we are so proud of you.

By receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, you are growing closer to Him and becoming more deeply part of the Church family. May this gift fill your hearts with peace, joy, and love, and may you always remember how much you are loved by God.

Thank you for the care, effort, and reverence you showed in preparing for this day. You are a beautiful example of faith in action.

We pray that you continue to walk with Jesus each day, and that your love for Him shines brightly in all that you do.

We marked this wonderful occasion with a fun pizza party to celebrate the joy of our students receiving their First Eucharist!

Living the Values of St Peter in Our School Community

We at St Peter's are guided by the example of St Peter and are proud to be a community that honours faith, leadership, and compassion. While our school is grounded in the Catholic tradition, we also warmly welcome and respect the diverse beliefs and backgrounds of all our families.

St Peter, known for his faith and humble leadership, reminds us that every person has a role to play in building a community rooted in love, respect, and unity. In our school, we seek to live out his values in ways that are meaningful for all:

  • Welcoming and respecting all faiths and cultures

We celebrate diversity and create a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and accepted.

  • Encouraging servant leadership and compassion

Like Peter, we teach our students to lead by example—through kindness, care for others, and responsibility.

  • Promoting courage and resilience

We support students as they learn and grow, encouraging them to persevere, reflect, and develop their own voice.

  • Building a community of trust and belonging

Inspired by Peter’s role in uniting the early Church, we work together—families, staff, and students—to foster strong relationships based on mutual respect.

By nurturing these values, we help our students become confident, compassionate people who contribute positively to the world around them.

Thank you dear parents and carers for being part of this journey with us.

Blessings!
