Year 6 News

Dear Families,

In grade six, students have been learning about how to write persuasive  ‘Letters to the Editor’. It’s been wonderful to see the thoughtful and passionate topics students have chosen to explore.

This week, we've been focusing on strength spotting. Students have been awarded stickers when they demonstrate our Visible Wellbeing strengths in action. It's a great opportunity to ask your child about the stickers they've received and the strengths they were showing at the time.

It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of the term and that students are now halfway through Year Six. They’ve achieved so much already, growing in confidence, developing key skills, and showing real leadership within the school community. With the second half of the year ahead, there are still many exciting opportunities for growth, learning, and celebration to come.

Keep your eyes out on Compass for upcoming excursions and events for Term 3. Year Six students have the opportunity to participate in swimming in Week 1. Two teams of students who participated in Winter Gala Tee Ball will also be heading to Districts in Week 1.

Congratulations to those students who received excellence certificates in the past few weeks, do not underestimate the importance your actions can have on everyone else at the school, and value your role as a leader.
