Year 4 News

Dear Families,
We cannot believe how quickly Semester 1 has gone - holidays are just around the corner.
Next week, we will be going on the Year 3/4 Camp to Lake Dewar Discovery Camp. We will be leaving on Monday 30th June and returning on Wednesday 2nd July. We ask that families closely read the ‘What should I bring to camp’ document that was sent home so no belongings are left behind. It is also crucial that students attending camp arrive to school on Monday 30th June no later than 8:45am so they do not miss the bus. We will be leaving promptly at 9am.
In English, we are concluding our author study of Gregg Dreise. Students have been working hard to publish their moral stories and can’t wait to take these home to share with you.
In Mathematics, we have been consolidating all we have learnt this semester, including addition and multiplication strategies, fractions, place value and measurement.
During week 9, students loved identifying and celebrating the strengths of themselves and their peers as part of our Visible Wellbeing.
In Investigations, we have been learning about the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, convicts and British settlers.
Thank you for your continued support,
Year 4 Team
