3/4 Learning News

What's happening in Year 3/4 space?

Dear Families,

It’s been a busy and exciting fortnight in Year 3/4!

In Literacy, we celebrated finishing our class novel Yirra and Her Deadly Dog, Demon, which sparked some great discussions and reflections. We’ve also been sharpening our grammar skills by identifying nouns, verbs and adjectives in sentences, and learning how to use them effectively in our own writing.

In Maths, we’ve explored data representation — learning how to read different types of graphs and deciding which type best suits certain data sets. We then moved on to investigating 2D shapes, focusing on how to classify them based on their features, such as edges and vertices.

Our Community Art Project is coming along beautifully! Last week we began our large collaborative piece, and we’ve made fantastic progress. We’re all very proud of the creativity and teamwork on display, and we can’t wait to reveal the finished artwork in the final week of term!

Please don't hesitate to contact us on Dojo, via email or come in for a chat if you need anything at all!
