Recently MACS introduced their Vision for Engagement, which describes how students learn, thrive and flourish. During Term 3 Consistent Attendance will be a big focus for our students as research indicates that is a critical aspect of academic achievement and social connection. Coming to school on time five days a week, allows students to build foundational skills, engage with learning and develop positive habits that extend beyond the classroom.
Last Monday 16th June, the Grade 4s participated in an incursion called Democracy, Community and Me. Through the session they explored the fundamentals of democracy and government in Australia. Every year schools complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). It counts the number of students who receive adjustments or “help” at school because of a disability. The NCCD helps the government and schools plan for the needs of students with a disability. For further information click on the link NCCD Information Sheet.
