🌟 Learning About Coexisting Emotions 🌟

From Our Resilience Project Lessons this week....

Ā

This week in our Resilience Project lesson, we explored something really important: coexisting emotions. That means having more than one feeling at the same time — and guess what? That’s totally okay!

Ā

Hello this is Daniella and Skyla talking to you about our recent Resilience Project lesson. In this week's Resilience Project we were learning about coexisting emotions and how it is okay to have multiple emotions at once. We got in a circle and talked about different times we felt coexisting emotions and how we handled them. Hearing other solutions to coexisting emotions helped people in our class understand that it is ok to have different emotions.Ā

Ā

Coexisting emotions actually help us get through situations because it helps be resilient and learn to cooperate with these feelings. It is also very normal if you feel two very different emotions because you could be in a position where you are excited but nervous… they are very different feelings and that is perfectly fine to feel them.Ā

Ā

By talking together, we learned that coexisting emotions are part of being human. They might feel confusing at first, but they can actually help us grow. When we allow space for all our feelings — even the tricky ones — we become more resilient. That means we get better at handling challenges and bouncing back.

Ā

We also learned that coexisting emotions help us cooperate with ourselves. Instead of ignoring one feeling, we can listen to what each emotion is trying to tell us. This helps us make better choices and understand others too.

Ā

Hearing how our classmates deal with these feelings gave us great ideas. Sharing helped everyone feel supported — and reminded us that no one is alone in their emotions.

Ā

Let’s keep the conversation going at home!Ā

Ask your child:šŸ—£ļøĀ

"Can you think of a time when you had more than one feeling at once?"

Ā "What helped you deal with it?"

Ā

Together, we can keep building resilience — one emotion at a time! šŸ’Ŗā¤ļøšŸ˜Š
