Vacation bookings are also open MONDAY 3rd June at 9am. Only 4 weeks to Winter Vacation.
What have we been up to in the last two weeks?
Last week we had the most fun ever, staff as well as children I think. We continued to develop our social and emotional skills through play, pretend play in particular.
It was a great basis for some good group discussion as we worked out who would play each role, taking turns to speak and share, encouraging each other and imagining all manor of scenarios.
We had Hospitals, Vets, Shops, Schools, Hair and Beauty, construction and so on.
The hospital day could have been a full blown medical drama with Doctor and Nurse shortages, broken legs, beds flying in and emergency surgery !!
This week we looked at the theme for Reconciliation Week. NOW MORE THAN EVER.
This has included some amazing artwork, storytelling and colouring, music and dancing.
Our dream-time music makers were amazing providing background music for storytelling.
We have had a fantastic colouring competition running all week with the top three colourings winning one of our lovely story books - Warnayarra the Rainbow Snake. Winners announced on Monday. Everyone who completed a colouring this week won a prize.
A massive thank you to the following families :
Hannah, Chris, Emme and Otto who donated a wonderful pile of beautiful books for our library.
Aradia, James, Verity and Willow for their games, colouring and art supplies which we loved.
Kym, Ashley and Cody for our fantastic Big Chess and Droughts set ! The competition has begun for the Grand Master.
We are so grateful for any donations of toys, games, books and art/craft materials :)
