Rudy Vail

Dear Parents/Carers,

What a phenomenal week it has been for the OLHC community!

Working Bee

Last Saturday, a wonderful group of families gathered to lend their hands and hearts in enhancing our school environment. This collective effort not only beautified our grounds but also bolstered the spirit of community engagement.

Among the tasks accomplished were crucial repairs to the retaining wall along Dudley Street, revitalising our raised garden beds, meticulous pruning of overgrown branches, and thorough mowing of the lawns. These efforts have improved the aesthetic and safety of our school and have created a more inviting learning environment for our students.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who participated. Your dedication and hard work are immensely appreciated and have made a tangible difference in making OLHC a better place for everyone. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm—here’s to many more successful Working Bees like this!

OLHC Feast Day Activities

Today, we gathered as a community to celebrate the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, and what a joyous day it was! It was heartwarming to see so many families come together to participate in this special occasion, joining us for the picnic lunch, engaging in a variety of fun activities, and uniting in prayer during the Mass.

Our school grounds were filled with laughter and lively spirits as families spread out their picnic blankets and enjoyed a communal meal under the beautiful autumn sky. The sense of togetherness truly embodied the community spirit that makes Our Lady Help of Christians such a remarkable place.

The children had a fantastic time partaking in all the planned activities, with the circus skills workshop proving to be an extraordinary hit. It was a delight to watch our students juggle, and balance with such enthusiasm. Some displayed such a knack for these skills, they looked ready to join a circus troupe!

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Clare Bisby, whose meticulous planning and hard work made this day possible. Her dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly and that every family could enjoy this wonderful celebration without a hitch.

Thank you to all who came out to make today memorable. Your participation and spirit are what make our community so special. Let us continue to support and uplift one another, living out the values that Mary Help of Christians inspires in us all.

Congratulations to Harry Collins

Congratulations to Harry for advancing to the second round of the School Sport Victoria football trials! Competing in representative sports is a highly competitive endeavor, as only the best athletes vie for positions on these prestigious teams. We are immensely proud of Harry’s achievements and his dedication to excellence in sport. We eagerly look forward to the possibility of hearing his name announced in the AFL draft of 2030. Keep up the great work, Harry!
