What do we do today to remember this Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples?

Gospel Reading

Mark 14: 12-26

Jesus shares his Last Supper with his disciples.

Some of you have already celebrated your First Holy Communion. Some of you are preparing to celebrate your First Holy Communion, and the rest of you will be doing that in the next year or two. Even after our First Holy Communion, we still prepare each week to celebrate his sacrament. We pray throughout the week. We read the Bible with our family. On Sunday, we keep our attention focused on God and stay present to Jesus when we receive the Eucharist at Mass.

In today’s Gospel, we hear Jesus give instructions to his disciples for preparing a special meal for the Jewish celebration of Passover. We also hear some details about the meal that Jesus shares with his disciples; this meal is called the Last Supper.

Prayer for our Eucharistic Candidates

Loving God, we thank You for the gift of these candidates, for their commitment and desire to draw closer to You. Surround them with Your love and protection. May they always seek Your guidance and be nourished by the spiritual food of the Eucharist, becoming faithful witnesses of Your love in the world.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Unpacking Scripture with Fr  Andrew

At St Peter's we believe that unpacking scripture with students can nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only knowledgeable about their faith but also equipped to apply its teachings in meaningful and impactful ways throughout their lives.

We are fortunate enough to have our Parish Priest visit our school to unpack Scripture with our students.

Thank you Fr Andrew  for your time, effort, and commitment to guiding us in our faith. Your wisdom and guidance have helped us grow closer to God and strengthened our sense of community within the parish.

Parish / Presentation Mass for Confirmation Candidates

Thank you to all our parents,  guardians and staff   who made time to come to our Confirmation Presentation Mass to support our candidates who were presented to the community.

Please continue to pray for them as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on the 17th of November 2024 at the 9 am Mass.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your generous contributions to the morning tea following our recent Mass.

To our volunteers, Josep, Vianny, Jessica,Nop  Joanna & Cherry, thank you for your  efforts in preparing and serving the delicious refreshments that did not go unnoticed. The sense of community and fellowship you helped create was truly wonderful, and it is through your kindness and commitment that we can come together in such meaningful ways.

Thank you to our RE/Social Justice Leaders for leading us in prayer to celebrate National Reconciliation Week

Prayer for Reconciliation

God of all creation,

as we journey together in this Great Southern Land,

we pray for healing, forgiveness and unity,

creating a path of goodwill, with justice and compassion.

Jesus, through the power of your love, you have given us the courage, wisdom and strength to share our gifts and talents in humility.

In peace and understanding we reconcile with each other.

Amen
