Leadership @ MPS

Curriculum Day

Today, our staff participated in a comprehensive First Aid Training session here at Monty. This annual training equips our staff with essential skills to respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies that may arise in the school environment. Thank you to our staff for their enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for our Monty PS children.

Our teachers also were able to set up our newly resourced 'Reset Rooms'.

From Monday, our students will be able to use the Reset Room as a retreat during times of overwhelming emotions or sensory overload. These rooms are designed to provide a calming and supportive environment, allowing students to regulate their emotions and recharge before returning to the classroom. See below for some shots from one of our Foundation Reset Rooms.

Wellness Week - next week!

Wear your PJs next Friday 14th June to celebrate Wellness week!

From our SRC leaders:

We all know how important good mental health and wellbeing is for us kids, as it helps us connect with our friends, do the things we love (like soccer) and makes sure we are ready to learn the best we can!

That is why the SRC have voted this term to focus on the Blue Tree Project, an organisation founded with a mission to help spark difficult conversations and encourage people to talk when they are not feeling their best. The project offers a positive way for people to connect and help change the way we talk about mental health.

In week 9 this term, the SRC will be running a ‘wellness week’, with the goal of putting some good vibes into our school community. There will be a Staff vs Students soccer game, some outdoor activities, a Discovery Centre Disco, and a PJ day all in the one week! More information is to come, so stay tuned.

If you want to know more about the Blue Tree Project, you can visit their website at bluetreeproject.com.au
