Religious Education Leaders Conference 

On August 24th and 25th Tanya and Jayne traveled to Halls Gap to attend the annual REL’s conference. This year the conference was presented by Sister Veronica Lawson, a sister of Mercy. The theme of the conference was called “Coming to the Mountains and Going to Ground in Gariwerd” and reading our sacred stories from the perspective of Earth. We were invited to be present in moments of awe and wonder and to be still and pray in the beautiful environment. We also looked at the feminist view of gospel stories and the role of women in Jesus’ life.

Tomorrow Meg and her Year 4 children will be leading us in prayer at Prayer Gathering.

Next week (last day of term) Elissa and her Grade 3 children will lead us in prayer. All welcome.

Season of Creation

From the 1st of September to the 4th of October we are in the Season of Creation. As the sun begins to shine a little more and the plants start to bloom again we remember that we are called to be co-custodians of God’s Creation. 

Mission Day

Early next term we'll hold our annual Mission Day on October 20th. Pop it on the calendar now!
