Art ShowToday

Today we have our biennial Art Show! This is a very exciting event for our school community. The children have created some amazing art works with our Art Teacher Anna Plackett, our Artist in Residence Nicky Tsekouras, the children's class teachers and our learning support staff. A huge thank you to these wonderful people as well as the many parents who have come along to help with all the preparation. The Art Show will be held in the MPR from 3:30pm to 6pm today! Please come along and enjoy the wonderful art pieces that your child/children have created. The art work will be on display in the MPR until end of school day Wednesday 13/9. Here is a sneak peak of some of the works on display...

Indigenous Literacy Day

This week we celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day at Trinity. The children joined a live broadcast from the Sydney Opera House, hosted by this year's ambassador - singer Jessica Mauboy, as well as enjoying some Indigenous Literature and craft activites in their classes. On the live broadcast, there were three children's books that were written and illustrated by Indigenous communities across the country. This learning aligns with content from the Victorian Curriculum and provides rich and diverse learning experiences for our students.

As part of our 'Indigenous Day' learning our 5/6's created a very special Acknowledgement of Country with 5/6BOC Teacher Ms Bridget O'Connor and Uni Melb Teacher Candidate Ms Natalie, which will feature at our Art Show...

And a few pictures from the livestream and our responses to Indigenous Literature...
