Dear Families and Friends,

Our wonderful Art Show opened at 3:30pm this evening and for those who have already attended I am sure you would join with me in saying what amazing work our children have done. I will leave it to you to see for yourself and we will do a full write up next week. We plan to leave the Artwork up until at least Wednesday next week so if you are unable to attend today please drop in anytime up until then.  Thanks again to our many talented students and teachers and especially Mrs Plackett who only returned to Trinity this term and has done an absolutly outstanding job in helping our children create their many masterpieces.

It is hard to believe that next week will be our final week of term, however it is extremely satisfying to look back on all that heas been learnt, all that has been achieved and the many memorable moments we have once again fitted into a term at Trinity.

MACSSIS

Yesterday all families will be receivi their letter, link (www.orima.com.au/macsfamily.) and pin to access the familiy School Improvement Surveys. We ask that one parent/carer from each family complete the survey. This data, with the student surveys and staff surveys will provide us with essential information to work with over the next twelve months. We hope that the results also help us to celebrate the many great things we have achieved together and to highlight the wonderful things we already know about our school community. Thank you in advance for supporting this important work. If you are unable to complete the survey at home and would like some assistance please drop in at school and we can arrange for you to do the survey here.

Second Hand Uniforms

By now, some families may already have some items of our new school uniform which no longer fit their growing children.  We would love to start a second hand uniform shop so that families can purchase these pre-loved items of our new uniform. I have already had a parent volunteer to manage this and we may need to call on more volunteers in the future.

If you have any items of our new school uniform which may be suitable to donate I ask if these can be washed and dropped off at the office.

School Maintenance Work

If you happen to be driving past the school during the holidays you may notice some maintenance work being carried out. One major change will be to our fences as there are some sections of these which need to be replaced to provide further security for our children.  Ongoing maintenance is an important part of ensuring our physical resources are kept up to date, safe and in good order.

St John's Families and Staff

As communicated alrerady we have been welcoming many families from St John's in Clifton Hill after the announcement that their school will be closing its doors at the end of this year. Whilst they are all extremely saddened by this situation they have all expressed the immediate sense of community and welcome they feel here from staff, students and parents. Once we have finalized enrolments for 2024 I will provide some updates but I am confident that next year we will need to expand our number of classrooms which is a great thing for our school.

Learning Expo

A reminder that next Wednesday our Learning Expo will look a little different as from 9am-10am parents are invited to visit their child's classroom to join in the literacy learning for the morning.  If parents wish, of course they are welcome to visit other classes, however, we would like to provide an opportunity for parents to share in the learning with their children in class.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Oscar in Year 4 and his family who welcomed a new member to their familiy last week. We send them our congratulations on the birth of Luca and wish them all the best for the future.

School Enrolments

As part of our planning for the 2024 school year we would love to get an idea of our families intentions. Of course I hope that no one will be leaving us next year other than of course some of our Year 6 families so could I ask everyone to complete the  2024 Google Form HERE.

Pope Francis:

“The arts give expression to the beauty of the faith and proclaim the Gospel message of the grandeur of God’s creation.

When we admire a work of art or a marvel of nature, we discover how everything speaks to us of Him and of His love:

Prayers for our children and the Artist within each of them:

Dear Lord,

We pray that artists of our time, especially our young children,

though their creativity,

may help us discover the beauty of your creation.”

Amen
