Principal's Message

Basketball Courts

Monday was a fantastic day for our community as we celebrated the opening of the basketball courts. After showing such patience throughout the process, our students were finally able to enjoy the new space, and the excitement was clear to see. The celebration included a small ceremony, a fun staff versus Year 6 shoot-out, icy poles  and a dance party to finish off. Congratulations to the teachers who took out the shoot-out and provided plenty of entertainment for our students.

Our school’s BSEM Morning Circles are an important part of starting the day positively and building strong connections within our community. BSEM, the Berry Street Education Model, is a wellbeing and engagement approach that supports students’ social, emotional, and learning needs by building strong relationships, emotional regulation skills, and positive behaviours.

We kindly ask all students to please be on time, as Morning Circles begin promptly at 9:00am each day, followed by focused teaching and learning at 9.10am. Arriving on time ensures that everyone can participate fully and helps create a calm, respectful, and connected start to the school day. Thank you for your continued support in making Morning Circles a meaningful experience for all students.

 Senior Swimming Carnival

Our Senior Swimming Carnival was held on Tuesday and was a fantastic senior school event. The day provided a great opportunity for students to come together in their house groups, cheer each other on, and show plenty of school spirit while competing in both swimming races and novelty events.

A huge thank you to Eryn, our PE teacher, for her outstanding organisation, which ensured the day ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all. We also sincerely thank the staff and parents who supported the event on the day.

Lunar New Year-

Next week, our school will celebrate Lunar New Year! We are thrilled to share this special occasion with our community as we begin introducing Chinese culture and Mandarin to our school in 2026, making this celebration the perfect launch. Through color, tradition, and creativity, we hope to spark curiosity and appreciation for this rich culture. Keep an eye on our fence line to catch a glimpse of our beautiful lantern installation.
