A huge thank you to everyone who supported our OK Motels Breakfast fundraiser 2 weekends ago. We cooked and sold 320 egg and bacon rolls, along with drinks — an awesome effort!
Students are getting really close to reaching their fundraising goal already and have also started building resumes and thinking about the areas and industries they would like to complete placements in when they head to Melbourne at the end of the year.
Coming up next, students will be running the annual Easter Raffle and Easter Egg Hunt at the end of term 1, with the chance to win a hamper full of chocolates. Details will be shared soon.
Biology practical work
Year 11 and 12 Biology students had the opportunity to visit Ecolinc yesterday, to practice techniques used to amplify DNA samples before analysing it. Their behaviour on the excursion, which was combined with two other schools, was a reminder of how excellent our students really are.

Uniform
This is a regular reminder that students are expected to attend school wearing the correct school uniform. This includes the correct shorts (non-branded) and cobalt polo shirt, or dress, and the Charlton College hoodie or spray jacket. Caps and beanies are not part of the school uniform, and may not be worn between the hours of 9am and 3.15pm. A broad-brimmed hat must still be worn when outside, at least until the end of Term 1. On a Thursday, students are asked to wear appropriate clothing that is suitable for their relevant class. Short shorts are not appropriate for any classroom and should not be worn. Shorts should come to at least halfway down the student’s thigh.
If parents have any difficulty procuring the current uniform, please contact the office or your child’s TA or coordinator at the school on 5491 1280.
Mobile phone policy
Recently, students were reminded of the mobile phone policy. This policy is determined by the Victorian Government, and is enforced by Charlton College. Students are NOT permitted to have their phones with them during school hours, and they may not access their phone at any point in the day. Students found to be using their phone will have the item confiscated, and may pick it up from the office at the end of the day. The breach of policy will be recorded on Compass. Should parents wish to make contact with their child, please do so through the office.
