Updates from the Office

Parent Contributions

Parent financial contributions for 2026 are now live on Compass.

Contributions from our families make a significant difference to the programs and opportunities we can offer. Schools provide students with instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum. The continued support of our families helps us provide the highest quality education and resources for our students.

Contributions can be made through Compass or in person at the office.

If you have any questions or require additional support, please contact the office team.

Financial Support for Families

Wimba Primary School understands that some families may experience financial difficulties. To support our community, we offer a range of assistance options, including the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF).

Families who hold a valid means-tested concession card, as well as temporary foster parents, are eligible to apply for CSEF funding of $400 per child. These funds can be used to help cover the costs of school camps, excursions, and incursions.

Key Information:

  • Applications open: 27 January 2026
  • Applications close: 26 June 2026
  • A new application form must be submitted each year

To apply, parents or legal guardians must provide:

  • A completed CSEF application form
  • A copy of their valid concession card

Early Departures

We are experiencing some challenges when students are collected during recess or lunch breaks. During these times, students may not hear announcements while outside, and classrooms are locked, making it difficult for them to collect their bags promptly.

We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances do arise. However, if an early departure is known in advance, please contact the office ahead of time. This allows us to notify the classroom before the break and ensure your child is organised and ready for collection.

Thank you for your support in helping us maintain smooth and safe procedures.
