Science – Landforms (Stage 2)

In Science this term, students are learning about landforms and how different land features are formed and changed over time. We are exploring natural features such as mountains, valleys, rivers, plains and coastlines, and investigating the forces that shape them, including erosion, weathering, water and movement of the Earth. Students are developing an understanding that Earth’s surface is constantly changing and that these changes can happen slowly over long periods of time or suddenly through natural events. Through hands-on investigations, discussions and visual resources, students are building their scientific knowledge and using correct scientific vocabulary to explain their thinking.
