Welcome back to yet another exciting year of learning. I hope you all enjoyed a restful break and had the opportunity to spend precious time with family and friends.

To our new families joining our learning community in 2026, a very warm welcome to St Fidelis. My name is Annette Gasbarro, and I am the Religious Education Leader at our school. It is a pleasure to have you as part of our community, and I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you in the coming weeks.

At St Fidelis, Religious Education plays an important role in nurturing faith, encouraging curiosity, and supporting the spiritual growth of our students. Throughout the year, we will continue to work together to create a caring, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and loved by God.

Beginning of the School Year Mass

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended Mass last Friday. It was wonderful to gather together as a school community to celebrate the beginning of the new school year.

During the Mass, we gave thanks for the year ahead and asked God’s blessing upon our students, staff, and families as we begin our learning journey together. It was a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and unite in prayer as a faith community.

We also took this special occasion to introduce our school leaders and formally present them with their leadership badges. This symbolic moment acknowledged their commitment to serving our school with responsibility, kindness, and integrity. We are very proud of our student leaders and look forward to seeing them grow in confidence as they lead by example throughout the year.

Thank you once again to our families for your continued support and for joining us in this important celebration. We look forward to a year filled with learning, faith, and community.
