RESOURCE RETURNS REMINDER!

A reminder to families and students, the College Library resource collections will commence in anticipation for the end of term 1.

• All P-2 students will be returning resources during week 9. Therefore, all books must be returned by Friday 27 March. This ensures students can commence borrowing week 1 of Term 2.
• All remaining 3-12 students must either return or reborrow their resources by Friday 27 March.

TERM 1 WRAP

The College Resource Library has enjoyed a strong start to the year, with excellent engagement in library borrowing and reading habits across Prep to Year 8 classes. Throughout the term, students and staff recognised and celebrated a number of important events, including the Winter Olympics, Library Lovers’ Day, Read an eBook Week, Harmony Week, and Easter, bringing energy and connection into the library space.

Our lunchtime clubs continued to be a highlight across P–12, with Zine Club, Creators Club, and our Library Book Club proving popular and creative outlets for students. We look forward to seeing these programs continue to grow in Term 2.

We also extend our appreciation to our dedicated Library Monitors — Logan, Floyd, and Lorraine — whose support and leadership have been a valuable asset to our library and school community.

LIBRARY CLUBS GALLERY

TERM 1 STAR READER

Every term, the Library staff recognise a Star Reader, an individual who exceeds expectations in their reading journey. Huge congratulations to our Term 1 recipient, Bonnie (Year 4). She has displayed an outstanding commitment to reading, continually improving her abilities by selecting a broad range of reading material. Bonnie is a great role model to her classmates in our library. Keep up the great work!⭐

EASTER IN THE LIBRARY

Easter is almost here and the college library is excited to announce upcoming activities. Join us for special Easter Storytime sessions, themed book displays, and Creators Club crafts! Students will also have the opportunity to guess the number of eggs found in our Easter display, as part of our Easter Competition. We’re excited to wrap up the term with some interactive activities in the library 🍫🐣

EASTER COMPETITION

The College Library is also running our annual Easter competition, and this year library users are invited to search and guess the number of eggs in our Easter display! With a chocolate Easter bunny up for grabs, visit the library and test your seeking skills and help us locate all the eggs! The competition closes on Monday March 30, and the first drawn correct answer will be our winner! Good luck and happy searching!

HARMONY WEEK - WEEK 8

Harmony Week was celebrated from March 16–22, a time to recognise our diversity and bring together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone, with this year’s message reminding us that “everyone belongs.” 🧡 The College Resource Library was proud to play its part in highlighting the week, with special lunchtime craft activities, library class discussions, educational videos, engaging book displays, and calming music in the library to create a welcoming space for all students.
