Thank You for Playing Hockey!

The students at Grovedale West recently took part in a Hockey Geelong Roadshow and what a fantastic day we had.

We loved seeing so many enthusiastic young players giving hockey a go, learning new skills, and having fun with their classmates.

If your child enjoyed the session and would like to try more, Hockey Geelong and local community clubs are offering free Come & Try and Hookin2Hockey programs in the coming weeks.

These programs are perfect for beginners and focus on:

Fun, inclusive activities
Learning basic hockey skills
Making new friends
Building confidence through sport

All equipment is provided — just bring a drink bottle and a smile!

We hope to see Grovedale West students out on the pitch soon!

DEAKIN DISTRICT SUMMER CARNIVAL (Year 5/6)

What a magnificent afternoon of sport we had at Geelong College Senior and Middle Schools, yesterday.

Our students once again displayed outstanding sportsmanship and positive behaviour playing Tennis, Tee ball, Cricket, Dodgeball and Swimming. Many thanks to all the parents and families who supported the students throughout the afternoon.

HOUSE ATHLETICS (Year 3-6)

The annual School House Athletics was held today in glorious weather at Landy Field.

From the performances today we will select our School Athletics team to compete at the District Athletics in Term 3 August 20th.

Thank you to all the parents who came and cheered the students on and to Mr Welshe, Mrs Haigh, Mrs Cleine, Mrs Bray and Mrs Anderson who were officials during the day.

Enjoy the extra-long weekend everyone.

SCHOOL FUN RUN/CROSS COUNTRY (Prep—Year 6)

The School Fun Run/Cross Country will be held on Thursday 19th March 11.30am - 1.30pm for all students in Prep - Year 6. Students are encouraged to wear their HOUSE Colours for the event. From the results of the Year 3-6 events (age group races), we will select our School Cross Country team to compete at the District event on Thursday 23rd April during Term 2.
