BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS IMPROVEMENTS

Last week I mentioned some improvements made to our buildings and grounds to provide comfortable classrooms for children to learn in and quality places to play in. I neglected to mention that we purchased over $8,000 in new books for the children to read during English and Maths lessons. Thanks to our librarians in Lorraine, Jane and Sue for cataloguing the books and covering them.

RISE VALUES

We teach the children to demonstrate our RISE (Responsibility, Inspiration, Strength and Empathy) to assist promote a positive school climate to improve student learning and wellbeing. We are proud to acknowledge students who demonstrate the values, with the process being:

  • Each time a staff member sees a student showing our RISE values, they receive a stamp in their diary.
  • If they receive ten stamps, they get their first leaf.
  • Once they have three leaves, they receive a RISE Award and Zooper Dooper!
