St Brendan Olympics
We are thrilled to announce that St. Brendan's Primary School will be hosting Olympics Day 2024 on Friday, August 9th.
Students will participate in various activities designed to foster community, promote activeness, enhance school and country spirit, and celebrate multiculturalism. Each student will represent a different country and is encouraged to dress in the colours of their assigned flag. Information regarding which country your child will represent will be sent home today. If you do not have clothing in the assigned colours, students are welcome to wear their sport uniforms.
We need parent helpers for each activity! If you are available on Friday, August 9th, from 11:15 am to 3:00 pm, we would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please ensure you have a Working With Children's card to check in. If you can help run an event on the day, please contact Tess Haddock at thaddock@sbsomerville.catholic.edu.au.
Please also feel free to to come along and enjoy the fun, there will be an Opening Ceremony at 10:15am where the students will walk around with their countries to begin the celebrations. The events will start after Recess at 11:30am.
To add a touch of Paris to our celebration, we will be offering each student a croissant with butter and jam. This is an optional snack. If you prefer that your child not receive one, please inform Tess or your child's teacher for catering purposes.
