Dear Families
Welcome back to a cold and wet start to Term Three. Luckily the weather will not deter us from continuing the great work everyone started in first semester. Last week the school participated in the VRQA (Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority) audit review which takes place every four years. I'm very please to announce we passed with flying colours. A huge thank you to all the staff who have worked tirelessly on ensuring documents and evidence of learning were all in order.
We now prepare for the next audit which takes place in a few weeks- I know....how lucky are we??? This review is known as the School Improvement Tool where three reviewers will spend three days in the school speaking to all staff, the students in their classrooms and parents (before and after school drop off and pick up) to gather input on what the school is doing well and where improvements can be made. As you all know the past year or so has been about
We are very pleased with how these goals have been developing - as there is always continual room for improvement. This year our focus has turned to building a learning culture - with staff and students and then moving to parents/families. I came across the phrase "We are better together than on our own" and I just think that it fits beautifully with what we are trying to achieve here at St Joseph's. So get ready to see this phrase everywhere you look and in everything we do for the next 6 to 12 months as we work towards this learning goal.
Learning Conversations take place this Tuesday 30th July. If you haven't already booked please do so by using the app or contacting the office to make a time. this is just one of the many ways you can support your child in their learning.
We are very excited that Little Joey's Outdoor Playgroup will start next week on Thursday 1st August. This will be an opportunity for families to bring their little ones (6 months -3 years) to hear a story, participate in activities and have some time to connect with others. Please share this exciting venture with anyone age appropriate.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Take care and stay safe,
Maree
