Over the last two weeks the students in Years 3-6 have attended an Online Cyber Safety incursion with Inform and Empower.
For the Grade 5/6 students, the session focused on Critical Thinking, Consuming Content Online, and Navigating Unsafe Interactions. These topics are of paramount importance as our students increasingly engage with technology.
The Grade 3/4 and 5/6 session centered on navigating uncomfortable situations when being online. They also spoke about being an upstander opposed to a bystander when observing people being unkind to each other online. To support them with being an upstander help seeking strategies were discussed such as identifying who is a trusted adult that can support them.
