Dear Valkstone Street School Community,
We are writing to address an urgent safety issue concerning traffic behaviour around our school during drop-off and pick-up times. Recently, there has been an alarming increase in dangerous driving practices, particularly illegal U-turns and 3-point turns, as parents and guardians collect or drop off their children.
These manoeuvres pose a significant risk to our students, other pedestrians, and fellow drivers. The safety of our children must be our top priority, and we implore all members of our school community to consider the potential consequences of these actions.
To address this issue, we have reached out to the Glen Eira Council and local police for assistance in monitoring traffic around the school. They will be increasing their presence in the area to ensure compliance with traffic laws and to promote safer driving practices.

By working together and prioritising safety, we can create a secure environment for our students. Let's set a positive example for our children by demonstrating responsible driving habits.
We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to keeping our school community safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the school administration.
Thank you for your support in this crucial matter.
