PRAYER FOR A NEW SEMESTER

Lord, as we prepare for the coming of a new semester make us ready, attentive and available to hear you.

Thank You for the gift of being able to rise each day with the assurance that You walk through it with us.

Thank You for the gifts of creativity and uniqueness, and the energy to put them to good use.

May all that we are today, all that we try to do today, all our encounters, reflections, our frustrations, and failings be place in your hands.

May the work we do and the way we do it, bring new hope, new life, and courage to all we come in contact with this term.

We thank you, Lord.

We make this prayer through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

CLASS MASSES

  • Last Wednesday 17th July 8B (CKAV) and 8D (MMCM) celebrated their Class Mass with Fr Darren.
  • This Thursday 8A & 8C (NDUD) will celebrate their Class Mass with Fr Stanly.

We are always grateful for the support of Fr Darren and Fr Stanly.

Walkathon Launch Assembly

On Tuesday 22nd July we held our Walkathon Launch Assembly.  Each charity was introduced to our college community:

  • Fusion
  • St Vincent de Paul Society of Vic
  • Asylum Seeker Resource Centre
  • St Joseph’s, Peru
  • Trinity Families
  • Mackillop Today

We had Cathy from Trinity Family and Cheryl and Doug from St Vincent de Paul Society address the College community about their organisations.  We thank them for coming.

Walkathon Cards

This week your student will have received their walkathon card in a yellow envelope, labelled with their name and homeroom.

It’s time for us, as a College to get out and about in our local communities and rally to raise money for our local charities!

We have a goal to raise $20 per student!  This can be raised through involvement in sporting clubs, and hobby groups, asking extended family and friends or when visiting relatives.

When asking for a donation your student will need to record:

  1. Name of the sponsor
  2. The date received
  3. The amount pledged
  4. Tick whether the donation is in cash or via the QR code.

This will help us keep track of donations.
